Alexa Berezowitz is a Yale graduate studying Biomedical Engineering and Spanish. This is her second year teaching AP Biology with the Global Teaching Project, but she has had experience peer tutoring Yale students in advanced Calculus. Alexa participated in Division I collegiate gymnastics during her time at Yale. She graduated from both high school and college in 3 years each, and she is currently working as a research assistant at UCLA in the thoracic oncology department in the hopes of attending the UCLA/CalTech joint MD/PhD program in the future.

Anna has also been involved in campus activities at Harvard, including the Harvard Quidditch Club and the Noteables, a non-audition Broadway show choir.

Due to his background, it is no surprise he has a deep passion for technology and software development, as it has provided him, and many other families like his, a way to communicate and connect with loved ones worldwide. As a Computer Science student at UVA’s School of Engineering and Applied Science with a minor in Data Science, Zaid is deeply excited by the freedom that programming provides him. He views software development and programming as the perfect outlet to combine his creative and technical sides and is thrilled to spend a summer working on projects that are efficient, beautiful, and which unite us globally.

He currently goes to school at the University of Mississippi, where he plans to get a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He is also currently enrolled in the ISS program at the university. He hopes to use his knowledge to enter the cyber-security field in the future. Evan was inspired to go into computer science because of his love for video games. Wyatt Kremer is a junior at Yale University pursuing the Intensive Physics major with an Advanced Language Certificate in ancient Egyptian. This is his third year with the Global Teaching Project as an AP Physics 1 Teaching Assistant, and he is excited to share his passion for finding the elegance within the equations and why it is powerful to have this raw understanding of the natural world. In his efforts to expand the physics community, Wyatt has served as a Co-President for the Yale chapter of the Society of Physics Students and board member of the undergraduate student advisory committee. He has broad interests in quantum gravity, field theory, quantum many-body systems, and quantum computing. Additionally, he loves collecting rocks and minerals and reading Middle Egyptian hieroglyphic texts in the original. Wyatt was born and raised in Minden, Nevada.

Aside from being a tutor, Roma likes to read books, write, and explore new restaurants. She is a writer for the Columbia Political Review. Roma is originally from San Jose, California.

Jenna Tuohy is a Third Year at UVA majoring in Systems Engineering and minoring in Computer Science and Engineering Business. This is Jenna’s first year working with the Global teaching Project as a AP Computer Science Principals Teaching Assistant. Apart from tutoring, Jenna does research in cybersecurity and human-factors, volunteers at Ronald McDonald House Charities, and is apart of UVA’s Society of Women in Engineering. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cycling, and any outdoor activities. Jenna is originally from Richmond, Virginia.

Sarah is a senior at Yale University studying biomedical engineering. This will be her second year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for physics. Apart from tutoring, Sarah does gymnastics on the Yale Gymnastics Team. Additionally, Sarah enjoys building LEGO model sets and drawing. Sarah is originally from Atlanta, Georgia.

Caden Wright

Caden Wright is a 4th year student studying Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Virginia. In particular, he is interested in back end software engineering and machine learning.

Caden enjoys playing video games and board games with friends in his free time. He is also fond of the outdoors and enjoys activities like hiking, rock climbing, and swimming.

Laura Zhou is a PhD candidate in physics at Stanford University. She graduated from Yale University with a BS in physics. This is her third year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant. Her research interests lie in experimental quantum information science. Outside of the lab, she enjoys drawing, reading, and playing video games. Laura is from River Edge, New Jersey.

Matthew Zhou

Matthew Zhou is a sophomore at Vanderbilt University studying mathematics and computer science.
