Michael Acolatse is a third year at the University of Virginia studying Computer Science. This is his first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a Teaching Assistant for AP Computer Science Principles. Apart from tutoring, he has interned at Lyft as a Software Engineer the past summer and will intern as a Software Engineer at Google this summer. Additionally, he enjoys playing basketball, piano, guitar, and video games. Michael is originally from Manassas, Virginia.

Nathan Barnett of Drew, Mississippi, recently attained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Delta State University. His current goal is to go to graduate school and attain an education in computer science to secure a successful future.

David Bieger

David Bieger is a second year at the University of Virginia studying physics. This is his first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for physics. Apart from the Global Teaching Project, David has immense experience teaching tennis and tutoring students for the ACT. David also takes a passion in club ultimate frisbee and club tennis at UVA. David is originally from Bristol, Tennessee.

Anna Blanchfield

Anna Blanchfield is a Junior at Harvard majoring in Chemical and Physical Biology, and the AP Physics 1 teaching assistant for Quitman High School and Clarkdale High School. Anna has previously interned at the Albany Medical College in the Clinical Neuroscience Research Lab, and also has extensive tutoring experience in Algebra and SAT Prep. Anna has also been involved in campus activities at Harvard, including the Harvard Quidditch Club and the Harvard Radcliffe Drama Club, where she helped design the set for the club’s production of West Side Story.

Decker Bristow

Decker Bristow is a second year at the University of Virginia studying Computer Science in the school of engineering. This is his first time working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP CSP. Decker loves to play pickup basketball and joined an intramural basketball team. He is involved in Greek life at UVA and is an active member of the Club Swim team. Originally from Richmond, he grew up teaching swim lessons to kids of all ages.

Charlotte Browder is a second year at University of Virginia studying systems engineering. This is her first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for computer science principles. Apart from GTP, at UVa she is a member of Engineers Going Global, Society of Women Engineers, and Delta Zeta sorority. Additionally, Charlotte enjoys baking, running, and spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs. Charlotte is originally from Richmond, VA.

Brittney Bush

Brittney Bush is a 3rd-year at Georgia Tech studying Computer Science. This is her first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Computer Science Principles. Apart from tutoring, she spends most of her free time dancing with the Ballroom Dance Club at Tech. Additionally, she enjoys playing board games with her friends and taking care of her succulents. Brittney is originally from Huntsville, Alabama.

C.J. Carron

C.J. Carron is currently a senior at Rhodes College studying Biomathematics. This is his first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a physics teaching assistant. Outside of the classroom, C.J. is a member of the varsity baseball team at Rhodes and participates in epidemiological research modelling the spread of COVID-19 throughout the Memphis community. Also, C.J. has passions for fly fishing and playing the piano. CJ is originally from Ridgeland, Mississippi, where he attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School.

Jasmine Dogu

University of Virginia

Jasmine Dogu is a senior at the University of Virginia studying Statistics and Data Science with an interest and background in Computer Science. This is her 2nd year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for Computer Science, and she is from Parkland, Florida. Apart from GTP, she is a research assistant at Dr. Miller’s computational biology lab and a peer mentor in her Data Science class. Outside of her academics, Jasmine is interested in cycling classes. Next year, Jasmine will be working for Deloitte as a Cyber Risk Analyst.

Brian Dolan

Brian Dolan has worked with the Global Teaching Project since its inception and on AP Physics 1 since 2017. Brian graduated from Yale University in 2020 with a degree in Physics, winning the Daniel Joseph Seigel Memorial Award and a Fulbright Scholarship upon graduation. At Yale, Brian was a member of the Education Studies program and participated in a number of educational outreach initiatives, including Matriculate at Yale and the Yale Education Studies Tutoring Initiative (YETI). He was also a member of the Yale Club Basketball and Varsity Football teams. Brian is originally from Bethesda, MD.

Justin Du

Justin Du is a senior at Yale University studying Economics and Biology. This is his 1st year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for physics. Apart from GTP, he is a research assistant in the Aneja Lab at the Yale School of Medicine and helps organize Yale’s largest annual hackathon YHack. Additionally, Justin loves to play ultimate frisbee and tennis. Justin is originally from Memphis, TN.

Katherine Du is a senior at Yale University studying Quantitative Biology. This is her first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Physics. Apart from GTP, she conducts bioinformatics research, ice skates with the Yale Collegiate Figure Skating Club, and is passionate about mental health education. Ian Espy is a Junior at Harvard majoring in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology, and was the AP Physics 1 teaching assistant for Palmer High School this past year. A Mississippi native and an accomplished student, Ian placed 2nd in the 2018 Mississippi State Science Fair in the Animal Science category. Ian also has extensive tutoring and volunteering experience through his work with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the Jack and Jill Club.

Olivia has previously worked with Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory as an Air and Missile Defense Intern, and has done extensive mathematical research with UVA’s Math Department.

Sean Hackett is a PhD candidate in computer science at the University of Southern California. He joined the Global Teaching Project in 2019 as a Physics tutor, while studying Physics and Computer Science at Yale University. When not tutoring or tinkering with computer science research, Sean can be found biking through the hills of Los Angeles and cooking vegans stews.

William Harkless

William Harkless is a Junior at the University of Pennsylvania majoring in Systems Science and Engineering, and minoring in Mathematics. William also has expertise in computer programming and has worked on several mobile and web-based apps, as well as co-founded a trading company for which he currently serves as CFO. William is a Mississippi native and has tutored and mentored students in elementary, middle and high school, as well as through Operation Shoestring.

Jaelen King is a senior at Yale University studying Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. This is his first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Biology. Apart from GTP, he is the current chapter president for the Zeta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., serves as a research assistant for two teams doing public health related work, and also works as a mentor out of the Yale Center for Teaching and Learning. Wyatt Kremer

Wyatt Kremer is a sophomore at Yale University pursuing the Intensive Physics major with a certificate in Egyptology. This is his first semester with the Global Teaching Project as an AP Physics 1 Teaching Assistant, and he is excited to share his passion for finding the elegance within the equations and why it is powerful to have this raw understanding of the natural world. In his efforts to expand the physics community, Wyatt serves as a Co-Outreach Chair for the Yale chapter of the Society of Physics Students and board member of the undergraduate student advisory committee. He has broad interests in quantum gravity, field theory, quantum many-body systems, and quantum computing. Additionally, he loves collecting rocks and minerals and reading Middle Egyptian hieroglyphic texts in the original. Wyatt was born and raised in Minden, Nevada.

Erin Lippitt is a senior at Yale University studying astrophysics and completing a certificate in education studies. This is her second year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Physics 1. Apart from GTP, she is a research assistant for the Dragonfly Telephoto Array team, has served as president of her university’s Women in Physics organization, and teaches health education in New Haven public high schools. Additionally, Erin enjoys cooking, dancing with her university dance club, and hiking. Erin is originally from Albany, NY.

Tre’ Peterson is a Sophomore at Yale majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Named the 2019 Aflac Student of the Year, Tre’ is an accomplished student-athlete and is currently a Running Back on the Yale Football Team. Tre’ has extensive tutoring and volunteering experience through his work with the Omega Lamplighters and the Columbus Scholars SAT camp. Tre’ is also a talented artist and musician and enjoys sketching and playing the piano in his free time.

Dom Pinnisi is a first-year graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying Aerospace Engineering. He recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, and a B.A. in Physics. This is his fourth year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Physics I. Apart from GTP, Dom is an intern for Northrop Grumman and will be working on NASA’s Lunar Gateway initiative during summer 2022. Additionally, he enjoys playing golf, ping pong, and piano. Jami Randall is a sophomore at the University of Mississippi majoring in Physics. Jami also is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale and an alumna of the Advanced STEM Access Program. Jami aspires to a career as an aeronautical physicist as a civilian contractor with the Navy. Her favorite hobby is playing video games with friends.

Austin Raymer is a 2021 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he majored in Physics and Mathematics. Austin has extensive research experience in Physics and Electrical Engineering at UVA and has been awarded several grants to pursue his research in those fields. Austin has also taught and mentored students, both in his capacity as a Teaching Assistant in Physics, and also as an Outreach Officer for the Electrical Honor Society, in which he mentored a middle school Robotics team and assisted high school students preparing for science fairs.

Viviana Rosas is a 2021 graduate of the University of Virginia, where she majored in Computer Science and Chinese Language and Composition, and served as the AP Computer Science Principles teaching assistant for Holmes County Central High School for 2 years. Viviana currently works at Microsoft in Seattle and has served as a Teaching Assistant in UVA’s Computer Science Department, where she assisted students in the introductory CS course at UVA. She is also deeply involved in outreach efforts for students in the Latinx community as well as in efforts to expand access to Computer Science through her work with Women in Computing Science at UVA.

Alek Schultz

Alek Schultz is a second year at the University of Virginia studying Computer Science. This is his first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for computer science. Apart from GTP, he also volunteers for various clubs such as Habitat for Humanity and is a member of the Computer and Network Security club at UVA. Alek also enjoys gaming, watching and playing sports, music, and politics. He is from Falls Church, Virginia, but has lived all around the world.

Ella Stark is a senior at Yale University studying Theater & Performance Studies and completing the pre-med curriculum. Apart from GTP, Ella writes and performs in plays with the Yale Children’s Theater and serves as a mentor and counselor to first-year students at her school. Quontez Thomas is a sophomore at Mercer majoring in Kinesiology on the Pre-Medicine track. Quontez has extensive tutoring and volunteering experience through his work with his local church and Boys and Girls Club. In addition to being captain of the varsity football and track & field teams for his high school, Quontez also became a certified cake decorator and enjoys baking and decorating cakes in his free time.

Davis Tran

Davis Tran is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania studying Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence. This is his first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Computer Science Principles. Apart from GTP, Davis is a TA for an Introductory Java Programming Course and a Co-Chair for an Asian Pacific Islander mentorship program at Penn. He has recently researched anomaly detection within real-life social networks and has several significant technical experiences from internships. Davis’s past involvements include the Vietnamese Student Association and Penn Band. During his free time, he loves to play volleyball and drum. Davis is interested in network theory and is passionate about both expanding algorithmic and technological understanding among the public and equitable diversity within tech. Davis is originally from Pennsauken, New Jersey.
