Our 2025-2026 GTP Teaching Assistants

These 30 elite college student STEM majors and recent graduates represent the very best their universities have to offer.

Hailing from leading universities around the countryincluding YaleHarvardStanfordUniversity of VirginiaGeorgia TechVirginia TechNotre DameDartmouthUniversity of IllinoisUniversity of North CarolinaMississippi State, and University of Mississippithese Teaching Assistants work with GTP’s AP classes both in-person and virtually.

Teaching Assistants conduct regular tutoring sessionstypically twice weeklyvia videoconference during the academic year, helping students to dive deeply into the material and work through challenging concepts. Teaching Assistants also have the opportunity to work with students inperson at residential instructional programs GTP conducts, including the annual Summer Preparatory Program at Mississippi State, and the Winter Review Program at Jackson State held in the days leading up to the MLK holiday.

Perhaps most importantly, Teaching Assistants provide mentorship and guidance to students, in addition to academic support.

Teaching Assistants are selected not just for their academic talent, but also for their passion for working with young students, and their desire to support and meet the students’ needs. Teaching Assistants provide guidance on college applications, the financial aid process, studying for standardized tests, and general questions about college life. For many GTP students who are first-generation college-bound students, this support is a lifeline.

We are excited to work with this year’s Teaching Assistants, with many more to join their ranks, as 40+ AP classes are slated to begin with our Program in Spring 2026.

Thank you to all of our wonderful Teaching Assistants
for your dedication and effort!
