Matthew is a senior at Virginia Tech double majoring in Data Science and Economics. This is his second year teaching classes at Global Teaching Project. Outside of class, he currently working in AI healthcare solutions. Outside of teaching and school, Matthew enjoys hiking, running, and football. Matthew is from Leesburg, VA.

Alexa Berezowitz
Yale University, Stanford University
Alexa is a biomedical engineer originally from Kentucky, with a strong passion for advancing medical research and innovation. She graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Certificate of Advanced Spanish Language. After completing a year of clinical research at UCLA, Alexa’s focus shifted to cardiothoracic research at Stanford University, where she is currently leading a project investigating a potentially novel gene in atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease.
In the spring, Alexa plans to apply to MD-PhD programs with the goal of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. Her long-term vision is to lead a laboratory focused on developing biotechnological cardiac devices that can transform patient care in cardiovascular medicine.

Eliana Bonbrest
Harvard College
Eliana is a senior at Harvard College studying Biomedical Engineering with a minor in education. This is her first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Biology. Outside of school, Eliana enjoys running, hiking, and baking in her free time.

Madison Butchko
Yale University
Originally from Michigan, Madison Butchko is pursuing a B.S. in Physics and a B.A. in East Asian Studies. She is passionate about making complex ideas accessible through clear and creative explanations. Outside of teaching, Madison loves writing, practicing calligraphy, playing piano, and developing baking recipes.

John Byler
Yale University
John Byler is a freshman at Yale studying Computer Science, Economics, and Humanities. This is his first year working with the Global Teaching Project. He is interested in machine learning, web development, philosophy, and politics. In his free time, John enjoys reading, running, weight lifting, and talking to people. He is originally from Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia.

Maria Dolan
University of Virginia
Maria Dolan is a third year at the University of Virginia studying Computer Science and Neuroscience on the Pre-Medical Track. This is Maria’s first year working with the Global Teaching Project as a Teaching Assistant for AP Biology. At UVA Maria is also involved in Best Buddies and the Honor Committee. Outside of school, Maria enjoys spending time with friends, skiing, and reading!

Veronica Dunne

Veronica Dunne is a Sophomore at the University of Notre Dame studying Computer Science. This is Veronica’s second year working with the Global Teaching Project as a Teaching Assistant for AP Computer Science Principles. Apart from tutoring, Veronica is on the Club Soccer team at Notre Dame and enjoys baking and playing pickleball in her free time. Veronica is originally from Starkville, Mississippi.

Maggie Dykstra

Maggie Dykstra is a third year at the University of Virginia double majoring in Cognitive Science and Computer Science, with a minor in Data Science. In addition to working with the Global Teaching Project, Maggie is involved in research at the Darden School of Business and serves as a student consultant for SEED consulting. This is Maggie’s first year at GTP, and she is excited to be a Teaching Assistant for AP Computer Science Principles.

Jules Gallo
University of North Carolina
Jules is a Sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill studying Data Science and Peace, War, and Defense. This is his first year with the Global Teaching Project. He is studying abroad in Belgium for the Fall 2025 semester, completing a program on Trans-Atlantic Security at the Brussels School of Governance. Aside from school, he enjoys watching sports, playing board games, and competitive Pokémon. He is originally from Starkville, Mississippi.

Aidan Healy
Yale University
Aidan Healy is a junior at Yale studying philosophy and literature. This is Aidan’s first time working with GTP. He will be tutoring AP Biology. Outside of GTP, Aidan also tutors debate and social science courses to middle school and high school students. In addition to tutoring, Aidan likes to read, workout, play rugby, and talk to people. He is from Boston, Massachusetts.

Carson Hill

Carson Hill is a fourth-year student at Georgia Tech studying Physics and Math. This is his fourth year working with the Global Teaching Project as a Teaching Assistant for AP Physics 1 and AP Computer Science Principles. In addition to tutoring, Carson enjoys coding, chess, photography, video editing, and graphic design. Carson is originally from Brandon, Mississippi.

Elliott Hong

Elliot is a fourth year at the University of Virginia. This is his second year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant. Elliot has an extensive tutoring history and his passion lies within applying computer science in humanitarian contexts—his coursework and research lies in this field. He loves going to the gym, discovering new albums, and being involved in Greek life at UVA.

Wyatt Kremer
Yale University
Wyatt Kremer is a recent graduate of Yale University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Intensive Physics and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with an Advanced Language Certificate in ancient Egyptian. This is his fourth year with the Global Teaching Project as an AP Physics 1 Teaching Assistant. He has broad interests in theoretical physics and Egyptian philology. Additionally, he loves collecting rocks and minerals as well as hiking. Wyatt was born and raised in Minden, Nevada.

Gauri Kumar

Gauri is a junior at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign studying electrical engineering. This is her third year working as an AP Physics 1 teaching assistant for the Global Teaching Project. In her free time, Gauri loves to take apart machines, play tennis, and spend time outdoors. She is also the Vice President of the University’s Radio Club, and has a HAM radio license.

Shivani Nadella is a sophomore at the University of Maryland studying computer science, with minors in data science and business. Originally from Chantilly, Virginia, she enjoys spending time with friends, reading, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Srikar is a 3rd year student at the University of Virginia who is studying Computer Science and Data Science. Paige Nothelfer

Paige is a sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, majoring in electrical engineering and minoring in computer science. This is Paige’s second year working with the Global Teaching Project as a teaching assistant for AP Computer Science Principles. On campus, she is involved with research surrounding processing in-memory and CPUs. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, and crocheting.

Claire Qu

Claire is current Master’s in Biomedical Informatics student at Harvard Medical School, and a recent graduate of Yale University, where she studied computer science. This is her third year working with the Global Teaching Project as a Teaching Assistant for AP Computer Science Principles. Apart from tutoring, Claire was the captain of the Yale Gymnastics Team, enjoys watching the sunset, and traveling. Claire is originally from Fremont, California.

Jack Thornton is a 3rd year student at the University of Virginia studying Systems Engineering. This is his second year working as a teaching assistant in AP Physics 1 with Global Teaching Project. Christa is a third year at the University of Virginia studying Civil Engineering with a concentration in Infrastructure Systems. Christa is passionate about supporting children of all ages in their learning and growth. Apart from tutoring, Christa enjoys running, skiing, and reading.

Aaron Van

Aaron is a fourth-year student at the University of Mississippi majoring in Biology and Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry. He’s on the pre-optometry track and passionate about eye health and patient care. Along with his coursework, Aaron has experience tutoring science students and volunteering in healthcare settings. Outside of school, he enjoys going to the gym, playing tennis and pickleball.

Roman Zrajevsky

Roman Zrajevsky is a student at Virginia Tech where he is pursuing a degree in CS (with a minor in Mathematics). Roman is originally from Kyrgyzstan and came to the US at a very young age. Roman currently works as an undergraduate TA to a 2nd year CS class at Virginia Tech, so will bring a great deal of tutoring experience to our program. As a first-generation college student himself, he is excited to help mentor and guide our students.
